Today Vicki and Fallon went down to Coventry to pick up Vicki's mum who is coming to stay for a few days. On the way down they called in to see my mum so I gave them a pottery Robin planted with Hyacinth to take for her. They also dropped off a wreath for my dad's grave. It was meant to go before Christmas but plans changed so we never got a chance.
A wreath for dads grave which Vicki made.
What a lovely gift to take with them, and the wreath is exquisite.

That is a lovely pottery Robin. It will be beautiful when the hyacinths bloom.
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful! Hope you and your family had a lovely Christmas!
ReplyDeleteLove the robin with the hyacinth and the beautiful wreath. That is a great mower in your header.
ReplyDeleteAah, we always used to grow a hyacinth for Christmas, they have such a beautiful scent
ReplyDeleteThank you Jo. Having spoken to my mum since I can tell you that she is thrilled to bits with her robin planter.
ReplyDeleteI don't expect them to be long before they are in flower John as I've kept them in a cool place so once in my mum's warm sitting room they should come on quite fast.
ReplyDeleteHi Sara, We had a lovely Christmas thank you, just us and the dogs.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, The Allett mower is a bit of a handful but it makes a very good job of cutting the lawns. The Robin went down well with my mum. The wreath was for my dad's grave.
ReplyDeleteHello Belinda. I remember as a child my mum used to grow Hyacinth.
