Beeley.

Today I am going to post some more pictures I took during my walk the other day. These pictures are of the Village of Beeley, you can find more info on Beeley by clicking [Here]
This is the lower lane through Beeley which follows Beeley Brook.
Here we are shortly to enter the square.
This is Chapel Hill, the chapel being the building that sticks out a little at the top of the hill, as children this is where you would find us on most Sunday mornings.
This is the view of Beeley from the main road that passes by the village, you can see the chapel again on the left hand edge of the picture.
Apart from the chapel there is also a church of England church.
Whilst passing I went and paid a visit to my grand parents from my dad's side of the family.
Tomorrow I will show you some pictures from the rest of the walk.

  2. You've convinced me...I want to live in Beeley. Your pictures are inviting me to come and take a nice peaceful walk, to look at all the beautiful, interesting things in and around Beeley. I also read about the town, using your link. So much history, no offense to the USA but we're such babies when it comes to history. Is Beeley your hometown?

  6. So, so beautiful. I love visting graves, even of complete strangers. I see some daffodils popping up in front of the stone. How pretty your grandparents bed will soon be.

  17. It seems idyllic. Out of a storybook. Very difficult for me to even imagine a quiet oasis like this still exists.

  18. What a lovely village to grow up in Rob. Nice visit to the old churchyard and loved the daffodil planting. These places to me are hauntingly beautiful if that makes sense- l love the quiet solitude.
I've been really busy these last few days- so much to do and so little time. Thanks for sharing your walk.
