COMMENTS FROM THE POTTING SHED

EB I would rather stick with no hair then a toupee!
Kimmie No I didn’t eat all the egg in one go, I still have some left actually.
Red Clover Yes I think it might be pretty horrible if that happens if for no other reason that Vicki might get to wondering who Sarah is. You always ask me some good questions. I will have to have a count up sometime, there will be over 30 different kinds of seeds though some of which need sowing several times over the year.
Matron Don’t worry Tom won’t touch it unless I tell him, he’s very good like that, he won’t even take the other dogs food if they leave any.
Jeanette I don’t have to do anything like that with the celery as I use the self blanching kind.

I just noticed that on your "where is this person logging in from" dealio on your site I appear to be from Lehi, Utah, and slightly resent that.. My city is much better then the aforementioned. It is far nicer, and has a better view of the rocky mountains. Ha ha.

Do you grow vegetables year round in your greenhouse? Any interesting fruit? I've got to get one of those someday.

Sounds a productive day - but then yours usually do. Interesting pictures, I like the one of the Hall; looks as though they had shares in a glazing company!

Gday Bob, . I enlarged the pics to read the story and get a good look at the castle floor plan. very interesting.
You will get a beautiful show from 20 Gladioli. are they mixed colours? You might be able to sneak a photo on when there flowering.

We planted our potatoes yesterday too Bob - we put them in boxes in the almost glassless greenhouse, as in the garden they get eaten by slugs. Someone recommended Kestrel as slug proof - not in our garden it isn't.
We also planted out lettuce plants and put them under cloches. I was tempted to buy PakChoi at the garden shop but last year I found it all bolted before it grew big enough to eat.Have you ever grown it?

EB Burton Agnes hall is nice, I know what you mean about the windows.

Red Clover Not sure how that loggin’ in things works because I seem to log in from a variety of place. I do have a few veg in the greenhouse but mainly it is given over to ornamental plants. In the summer I grow tomatoes, cucumber, melon and aubergine under glass as a lot of the plants can go out for the summer. Further to your other question I had a bit of a count up today and I grow around 50 different kinds of flower and veg seed.

Jeanette The Gladioli are in two colours, ten white and ten pale yellow. I will plant another twenty in two weeks and another twenty two weeks after that and so on that way there will be a succession of flowers for cutting through the summer.

The Weaver of Grass No I’ve never grown PakChoi, nor eaten it for that matter. As you will see above I to planted out some lettuce today. I haven’t covered mine though.
