NOTE
COMMENTS FROM THE POTTING SHED
Sara Polyanthus prefer some shade in the summer, in winter or spring they are okay in the open.
Kimmie The sick sheep seemed a little better this morning although knowing sheep that doesn’t mean it’s getting better as they sometimes like to do that before they die. I could tell there was something wrong with it because it was laid on its own and when I got it to its feet it didn’t want to move around very much.
The Weaver of Grass Its like the farmer with his plough, he will always clean and grease the bodies before storing it because he knows it will make a better job and be easier to use the next time he comes to use it. I clean off and oil everything before its put away every night, its the way I’ve been taught from when I was at Chatsworth House Gardens.

Dear me, another simple question...what is the best way to take Geranium Cuttings?

Interesting post again Bob.
We have a climbing rose which I bought from Woollies about fifteen years ago and which has produced the most marvellous blooms but the flowers have gone high and higher up - so last weekend I cut it off - all stems are now about a foot from the ground. I think I might have killed it, the farmer is adamant that it will sprout - I gave it a good dressing of Toprose - so we shall see - what would your guess be?

Gday Bob, Oh im in love with your photo of the old Hut In the thick mist, that would look lovely framed and hung on a wall...
Your Polyanthus are so colourful and make a lovely show I think the colours are more striking to look at than the Primula's .My Primula’s are just starting to grow i like the little spindle's of mauve flowers they produce.. Take care Bob, Jen
