Cider making and walkies in the woodss

Today busied myself making some mixed berry cider, I've been brewing ale for a while now but this is the first time of making cider so it will be interesting to see how it turns out. This is a mixed berry variety and comes in a kit so I wasn't crushing apples all day, it was just a matter of mixing the ingredients.

The cider kit.

After this was done it was past lunch time so I decided to take Tess for a walk in the woods where we had a picnic in the sunshine. This was a place Tommy never went as we have only just discovered it so things weren't to bad.

Some Wood Anemones we spotted along the way.

A nice place for a picnic, and apparently its also a nice place to play ball - can you spot it?

Haha, I spotted the ball with Tess her eye on it. I just read that Tommy passed away, so sorry, you certainly will miss Tommy, but that's life. Interesting to make your own cider, when we visit England we always buy bottles of cider to take home, we can buy it in our country but is not offered in supermarkets as in your country.

Tess sure does have her eyes on the ball!

Hard apple cider is a growing trend around here. We're lucky to live near orchards and orchards of apple farms.

Yes Tess has a good eye for the ball, I wish she was as interested in what I am doing. I am interested to see how this cider turns out as it's called 'Mixed Berry Cider' rather than the usual apple cider.

What a beautiful box for Tommy. Our vet sent us a card too when we had to put down our Hunter, I was very blessed, as many of the staff took time to say a little something to us.
Vicki's flowers are lovely too.
Glad Tommy is frolicking happily now in a much better place. May that put your heart at peace my friend.

thanks for sharing with us.
