NOTES
1) This is a part of the garden that’s never been touched since before I started here. I wanted to make a start on it when I first came but the former lady stopped me but now the boss has told me I can clear it out so as there is still snow on the ground it was a job that I can be getting on with.
2) Today the farmer took across some sugar beet for the sheep so now they will have something else to eat besides the hay. I nearly didn’t take any more across but the feeder was empty so I’m glad I did although as I say they do have sugar beet now.

COMMENTS FROM THE POTTING SHED
The Weaver of Grass I do know what you mean, I do find it hard to throw plants away, even a little Lettuce seedling.

Hello Bob ~~ Thanks for posting the awards from Jan and myself. They look good. You keep busy all the time and keep everything so tidy and cleaning your tools etc. I smile at your top temp 4C, while we are having 40C or there-abouts. Sorry you are having so much snow and freezing weather. Meanwhile we swelter here. It will be interesting to see what they do in the garden that has never been touched. Take care, Bob, Regards,
Merle.

Hi Bob - glad to hear that you have nothing to put in your green bin! We went over to this method of refuse collection last year and we have not had occasion to put our green bin out yet - there are far too many things to do with green rubbish rather than throw it away!

Merle I try and clean and oil my tools every night before going home that way they stay shinny and are easier to use. I was only thinking yesterday how we must get used to cold because I don't really notice that much.

The Weaver of Grass They have been very slack at colleting the bins of late, they never even showed up for either the green bins or the recycle tubs this week. A few weeks ago everyone put out their black bins and they never came so the bins stood out for a whole week. Just another example of backwards progress.

Jeanette The garden that never was is just a small corner on the North front, once the snow has gone it won't take me long to tidy it up.
