COMMENTS FROM THE POTTING SHED
Sara Posting the pics of the trail brings it all back to me, its tough walking the trail and even tougher being away from your family but there is something very special about doing it.
Jeanette I met up with Vicki two days walk further along the trail from the Tan Hill Inn. I already pruned the Fuchsia’s this Year but I will see if I can find the old pics for you sometime.
The Weaver of Grass Ha ha – you’re right about that, it’s far easier to get rid of Japanese Knotweed than bindweed. What I’m doing is just a gesture and I realise that. The only way to beat it is to spend all summer spaying everything in the soft fruit garden with Roundup. I don’t think that would go down to well in the big house though. I really feel for that poor farmer, what with his sweet treat ration, having to dig out the bindweed and losing the glass from the tractor cab in all that cold weather LOL!!

Gday Bob.. Firstly thank you fot the photo's look forward to others along the way..
great pics Your well rugged up against the elements of the weather
I do remember you having quite a few wet days on your hike..

I see your weather not getting any warmer yet.by your temps.. our temps rising again expecting high 30s by mid next week.and fires still burning A new outbreak started today at Mt Beauty..I hope they can get it undercontrol before any damage is done to properties.... Your bindwed sounds like our Bindi eye.. the bindi is a small round prickle,, and ouch if you stand on a bindi with bare feet..

Have a good weekend Bob and Vicki... Jen

Thanks for the comment, Bob. Re "that poor farmer" he belongs to that era where you don't complain - you just get on with it however rotten a job it is. As for rationing his sweet food - if you saw his "tummy" you would know why! Do enjoy reading of your work routine - it is much easier than getting out and doing anything in the garden - which I must do shortly. I always leave the top growth for the goldfinches etc. (michaelmas daisy seeds e.g.) and now, after being flattened by the snow they look disgusting.
Crocus - the yellow species kind - came out yesterday - today are being attacked by the sparrows.

I'm just starting work in my garden we've got seed potato and onion seed ready to go in and I've bought broad beans and new tomatoes seed too this year. We want to grow more of our own food this year, make the garden work for us.

Your walk looks lovely.
