I don't know if you remember but I pruned some of the roses back in November which is not really the recommended time for rose pruning so I thought that as I'm working on the rose beds today I would take a minute to show you how they got on. As you will see they took no harm from having an early trim, in fact they are more advanced than the ones I pruned at the so called right time.

interesting that...I didn't learn very many of the rules of pruning (even though my Dad tried to teach me). I'm trying to remember if I ever saw Mom or Dad prune the bush roses! Maybe they cut out the old growth...with all the thorns I'm not sure I'd have wanted to do it.

Your early pruned roses are looking quite nice!
