Clearing snow

Notes: Cleared snow and ice from the office steps and the front passage, also put down some grit afterwards.

See to the sheep

Notes: Checked and counted the sheep.
Took across some hay.
Broke the ice on the water trough.

See to the greenhouses

Notes: Put on a new propane cylinder.
Checked and watered round.
Rearranged the thermometers as I had one stop working last week so have arranged the ones that are working to cover for the broken one.

Putting up a bird box

Notes: Put up a bird box on the wall of the barn by the corner of the fuel tank border.

Notes: Removed a low branch from the Ash tree by the garden house.

Notes: Removed a couple of branches from the cherry tree over the wall by the lily pond as they were blocking the path to the garden house.

Notes: Getting the details off the pump in the lily pond as its no longer working so needs to be replaced.

oh Tess so cute! How she's minding these days ;-)

Have you ever been to count the sheep and found any missing? What happened to the neighbor who kept firing the gun? (Sorry that one just sprang into my head from somewhere). Lots of things to do and repair before the spring comes. I believe it's one of the reasons that some folks love gardening/farming and some folks hate gardening/farming...there is ALWAYS something to do!

I finally took my monthly lake picture and will have it up in a bit...I'll let you know!

I love to compare your terminology to our American words. Grit here would be described as ice melt. Grits here is a cereal served mostly in the southern states. I don't like it much myself. lol
